Andy Leuenberger is a cartoonist and artist moving between social satire, comic and experimental explorations of the medium. Themes are deconstructed in series of drawings with ink on paper and then collected in book-form. He has released at least one comic, art book or zine per year in the past 15 years, usually under his label “Choke Book”. There have also been publications, exhibitions and book-presentations in comic festivals, fairs and galleries, commissioned work for magazines and artwork for bands. Andy Leuenberger was born in Basel, Switzerland in 1972, grew up in South Africa and lives in Berlin. An overview is available on www.andyleuenberger.com.
Andy Leuenberger,artista svizzero di origini, cresciuto in Sud Africa e Berlinese di adozione è un fumettista, illustratore, artista svizzero,che si è sempre mosso tra la satira sociale, il fumetto e la sperimentazione e ricerca del mezzo di diffusione delle sue opere. Durante gli ultimi 15 anni ha prodotto almeno un libro all’ anno,di solito con la sua casa editrice “Choke Book”.
